High quality January 6, 2009
I'm extremely happy with this product. Definately a professional piece of equipment. It makes the shoulder cuts on tenons a snap instead of a pain. Very well engineered and built. Very accurate and easy to setup and use. worth every penny of the price. Definately lives up to the Grizzly name. Excellent jig at outstanding price December 30, 2008
This jig didn't make the review in Fine Woodworking #175 but it was half the price of the leading models and I bought it because it sounded like it would compare favorably to any one of them. It arrived securely packaged and it is heavily built (weighs 20 pounds). I didn't mind cleaning off the rust protectant. Mine is flat and true and the fit and finish is excellent without no chipped paint or casting flaws. The adjustments and set screws seem secure to me. I just used it to cut 28 joints and I'm pleased with the precision.

Grizzly Tenoning Jig September 21, 2008
I have now used this tool for the purpose for which I purchased it. It did an excellent job. I made multiple pieces with the same setup and it performed perfectly every time. High quality well made cast iron and steel parts can be expected to last a long time. The price was more than fair being the least expensive of several that I looked at before making my purchase.

Base Not Flat August 26, 2008
Received mine today. Discovered the base isn't even close to being flat. It wobbled back and forth on the top of my saw. Measured the gap under one corner and it was .030". That is huge for something that is only 8" on a side. I called Grizzly and a replacement base is on back order and won't be available for about 45 days.

I checked the other flat surfaces and they appear to be much flatter. I haven't checked whether the vertical support is parallel to the miter slot yet, but my first observations on how it is indexed doesn't give me great confidence since it only makes contact at one end of the slide rail. My fear is that it won't remain parallel when you reposition it.
