Side effects on Cat - Vomiting August 31, 2010

My home was infested fleas and my cat was being bitten so much that he avoided walking on the carpet. I decided to use Knockout ES because of the good reviews. I took my cat to the car, away from the house during the application of Knockout. 2 hours later, I opened all the windows and doors and winded out all the fume and vacuumed the carpet for another hour before allow my cat back in. That night, my cat vomitted 8 times. The Vet told me he was poisoned by the active ingedients in Knockout. We isolated him to a room where we didn't spray for two days and he was fine. br / br /The spray did kill all the fleas in the house but vet fee and pain and suffering of my cat cost me.

My cats are eaten by fleas. My veterinarian recommended this product and sold it for a higher price than Amazon. I was very happy to find the same product for a little less money, as I go through this stuff pretty quickly, spraying the house every other week. This is my first experience with fleas, so I was pretty slow to realize what was happening to my poor babies. Even the vet tech didn't know what was wrong because one of my guys was covered with sores on his neck and he was constantly scratching. No fleas to be found, he gave an antibiotic and I was on my way. Several weeks later I found a flea on my couch, so I went to the vet to ask what is the best and safest thing for my cats and this is what he sold me. br / br /

"Knockout" Flea Killer is the "A-Tomic Bomb" for ridding your home basement of Fleas! br / br /My Vet reecommended it, after our home was infested with Fleas this year. Our poor cats are strictly "in-door only" cats, yet somehow the little devils got into our home and infested both our cats, and our wall to wall capreting, ( two story house with 4- bedrooms), Than to our horror the Fleas even invaded our large basement. br / br /We treated the cats with "Fronline" "Capstar" with great success, as well as everyday combing the cats out. Than our cat's Doctor told us about "Knockout". So, after shampooing our caprets we treated cubby holes, furniture, and closets with "Knockout", (as well, we washed all bedding cat beds in the washer on a more than frequent basis), ............complete success! It wiped the little bloodsucking monsters out! br / br /Finally, came our cellar, I sprayed the cellar from end to end with "Knockout". The following day, after I sprayed the cellar, I did what I call the "white sock test", Wearing only white crew socks on my feet, I walked around from end to end in the basement........"SUCCESS"!!! "NO FLEAS TO BE FOUND"!! br / br / br /***NOTE*** Give the "Knockout" treatment at least two weeks, and than redo the "White Sock Test" in order to see if any baby Fleas, ( small black pepper size flecks), may have matured into full grown Fleas. br / br /We give "Knockout" an A+++ as it works.
